LYOCELL TENCEL
Tencel, also known as Lyocell, is made from natural wood pulp, which makes it highly sustainable and environmentally friendly. It’s also ecological, because its production recycles almost all the solvents used, and operates on a closed-loop system that minimizes waste. It's also comfortable, soft, lightweight, breathable and excellent at managing moisture, not to mention shiny.
Is Tencel Lyocell natural or synthetic?
Lyocell Tencel is natural because it's derived from wood pulp. It's not synthetic like polyester. This makes it an excellent ecological option for those of us who value durability.
Advantages of Tencel Lyocell fabric
Let's start with comfort. Tencel Lyocell is incredibly soft and smooth. It feels good against the skin, which is always a plus, isn't it? It's also highly breathable and moisture-wicking, keeping you cool and dry. When I'm making scarves, I particularly appreciate its lightness and sheen.
If you have sensitive skin, here's some good news: Tencel Lyocell is hypoallergenic. It's soft and won't irritate your skin.
